Tijuana Time!!!!!

So transfers came and Im here in Tijuana!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Woo Im so stoked!!!!! Im in the same area where Hermana Muir served and told me there was always lots of dead dogs and it was way ghetto so obviously Im pumped!!! I only know that Im in the zone Florido and the ward is called Dorado but dont ask me anywhere else where it is because I have no idea. I heard its about 20 minutes from where the temple is so I hope we can go see it soon!! My new companion is Hermana Alba and I already stinkin love her even though we have only been companions for a couple of hours, I know we are just going to be laughing for 6 weeks!! Shes from Durango Mexico. I think thats what its called haha. 

But yeah this week we went to Tijuana too for a conference thing and guess what I saw Will Rose!! (we went to high school together) It was way fun to see him! Hna Ortiz was supposed to go but didnt, so I dont know what happened. Oh and guess what we had intercambios this week and I got to go to another area to work with Hna Olsen!! Thats right I had an American companion for a day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Best thing ever!! It was so awesome to speak english for just one day! She has less time than me in the mission so I had to help translate things so that scared me but things worked out fine and it was really fun! guess what I completed 7 months in the mission!!!!!! Time is going by faster now!

Ok my interesting story for the week...so we were contacting this family on the street and there was this guy with no legs with them and he was like I really want to go to church, and a teenage girl also. So we show up to bring him to church and we thought his friend was going to be there to help us. No he wasnt.....so the guy was like ok help me into my seat. Imagine me and my companion, two weak little missionaries attempting to help this man. We had to go outside and have a random man on the street and help us. But it was awesome to be able to help someone who really wants to go to church even though he cant do it himself. 

Oh and guess what I saw Hermana Eye at the bus station today it was the best surprise ever!!!! I had no idea she was going to be there and we were just screaming and freaking out and man I miss that girl so it was awesome to see her! I cant think of anything else too exciting Im just way happy to be here and way excited to try things out in a new area!!!!!!! Yesterday was horrible saying goodbye to everyone and you better believe I cried a lot haha but its going to be a good thing. Love you all so much have an awesome week!!

I am Officially Mexican!!!!

Hola hola!!!! So Im officially Mexican because we had a family home evening last week and they tuaght me how to make tortillas by hand!! Oh man theyre SO GOOD!!! Be excited to have a carne asada when I get home!!

So a lot of kind of sad bad things happened this week!! We were supposed to have two baptisms this wednesday and they both fell through because one of them has to wait 5 more montsh because of some problems we found out and they other one his parents changed his mind and wont let him get baptized!!! WHy do all the parents always do this??? So yeah I was kind of upset yesterday after they said this but oh well I know that in time things will work out, I just wont be here to see it.

But we met the funniest lady after that! She was a less active that my companion that we should go find after we saw the name of her family on a list that we got from the bishop. So we went and talked to their family and she talked about how they were inactive because they didnt feel welcome in the ward and the people werent very friendly (so if you ever see someone new in church be really nice and happy and fun). So we talked for a minute and I told her I would stand outside waiting with the ward and we would dance for her so that she could see people were fun to be around! I dont know how to explain it but I already love her and we laughed for like 20 minutes straight when we met her! Her family had started talking to the jehovahs witnesses and she was worried for her kids and was thinking about coming back to church because she knows the church is true but had a problem with the people here and said that everything happens for a reason and we came to visit her at the perfect time and shes going to come to church next week with or without her family! We are going to visit them again friday and Im excited for them.

Miracle of the week!! We met this family last week and we went back to visit them another day and everything had gone wrong. Their dad had abandoned them, trying to kick them out of the house without money or food! They had gone 3 days without food when we showed up!!!!! So luckily I had some granola bars and gave it to the kids and then we called the bishop and they showed up with food for 3 days and theyre working with everyone to try and help them get a job and food and it was amazing to see how we foudn them at the perfect time and that the church was there to help them w
hen they most needed it!! Ive never been so happy for fast offering before!! It almost broke my heart to see this family like this, but it was definitely an experience I will never forget! Theyre the cutest!

So next week is transfers and Im not sure if Im going to be writing on MOnday or Tuesday. Ok now I say this because I dont want you to worry if I dont write on MOnday. This doesnt mean you have permission to start writing me on MOnday and hope I write tuesday. Everybody set an alarm on their phone for this sunday that says Write Nicole!!! Because Youre all slackers! Ok thats all I still love you haha!!! Have an amazing week everyone!!!

Quien Sabe 5/26/14

Hola hola!!!!!!!!!

First off HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD you old fart haha!!!! Miss your face like crazy and hope you have the best day ever!!! I expect to hear about a grand fiesta back at home! 

Well not too much exciting has happened with me this week. We didnt end up having our baptism with Manuel, but we have set another baptismal date for June 4th. We have 3 people that can get baptized that day and it would be my last week in Ensenada so that would be totally awesome!!! I feel like we have taught the word of wisdom every day this week and we have so many goals set with people and I just want people to quit smoking and drinking coffee and my life would be so much easier haha. 

We have the cutest investigator, Rodrigo. Hes 15 years old and he went to church for half an hour yesterday because he had to take a test to finish school at 9 o clock. I dont know how to explain him but hes pretty much the best investigator in the world and he hopefully will get baptized on the 4th too! 

We had a lot of people be more sassy than usual this week so there was some awkward moments, haha but oh well life goes on. Thats the life of a missionary. There are SO MANY jehovahs witnesses here! Everyone always things we are them and theres always a million of them walking around on the streets during the hours we are at church and stuff. Hmmm I cant think of much. There was a lot of dogs making babies in the street this week so that was a little traumatizing. 

We met two new awesome families this week that made me so happy!!! One girl thanked us for coming and said she knows a lot of people reject us, but there are people who really need to hear the word of God, and that God had sent us to them!! Im glad to be a missionary!

In one lesson this week I had quite the laugh attack! I cant even begin to explain why I was laughing because it was the weirdest story but we are teaching the funniest ladies and I started crying I was laughing so hard and they were fanning me and telling me to come back because it was like I had been possessed because I couldnt talk because I was laughing so much. Haha I dont know sorry this is really boring and lame. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks I will have a lot more to say about baptisms and transfers soon. Cant tell all of you how much I stinkin love you and miss you and cant wait to see you all again!!! Have amazing weeks!!
