Forever 21

Hola!!!!!!!!!!
This week was pretty good! It was way awesome because we found the best investigator EVER!!!! Serioulsy she's way prepared by the lord! Her name is Daniela. She went to a famiyl home evening with the family of her boyfriend and they passed the reference to us and before we even started the lesson she told us she wanted to get baptized and she looked like she was going to cry when we gave her her own copy of the Book of Mormon and couldn't stop saying thank you!! I've never had somebody understand the lesson so perfectly before and she prayed and told God sorry for worshipping him diferently before but now she wants to follow in the correct path. I just love her so much she's so cute! and she's 21 so we're pretty much the same age! Ew I can't believe I"m going to be so old this week!! Thank everybody so much for the birthday wishes and packages I seriously love you all so much!!! I got the packages, but haven't opened the packages but read the letters!!! I love you so much!! Seriously Tan Tan and Emily that was the funniest letter ever!!
So the sad thing this week is that my two buddies Carlos and Edgar moved away and I dind't get t ot say goodbye to them :( I just hope that their neighbor can still get a hold of them so I can still talk to them one day. The picture is with them. Hmm what else.
We had intercambios and I went with Hna Morales and it was seriously so much fun!! She came here, but my companion got to go to Tecate. We had 4 inactive people in church yesterday! two of them hadn't been to church in 25 years and we visited them one time and the mom cried and they went to church Sunday!! I love the mission and seeing that just one visit can change someone's life!! And they found us when we were passing by and flagged us down.
That's all I can think of right now!! We're not having any success right now with our investigators and getting baptized because the one option is way rebelious haha, but Hna Beaumont should have at least 5 baptisms when I leave, so I"m happy for at least what I'll be leaving behind. Love you all so much and can't wait to hear from you soon!

Foto por face! 9/15/14

This week was seriously SOOOOO awesome I loved it so much!!!! First off on Friday we had a conference with Elder Valenzuela from the area presidency of Mexico with all of the missionaries serving in the city of Tijuana! So I saw Hna ORTIZ, ROSAS, MUIR, and EYE!!! I was so much happier than I can say!!! I haven't seen Hna Ortiz for 6 months so it was the happpiest thing of my life to see her again! The picture is like our mission genealogy haha! It's my mom, my daughter, and my granddaughter! But yeah that just made this week the best week ever!
Also stuff with the work was a lot better too. We met some amazing new investigators!! First off one of our investigators told us she had been praying to find new friends who would be a good influence on her and then she contacted us when we were buying bread where she was working. In her prayer she said "I know this is the true church. And I really like your book (talking about the book of Mormon)" It was so cute, we were so happy! She's so awesome!! Plus we found the cutest little kids of my life! They've had the hardest life and I just want to help them so much! Their mom does drugs a lot and maybe is "a woman of the night" if you know what I mean and their situation is just so messed up! They came to church yesterday and loved it and made lots of friends and are just so excited and I know that we came into their lives and the right time and this is really going to help them! Edgar is 14 (and has had problems with alcohol) and Carlos is 10 and seriously they're the cutest!!! I love being a missionary!!!!
This week I've just been so happy to be a missionary to think about all of the people that I've met here who I've grown to love SO MUCH!! My companions, other missinoary friends, and espeically the people I've taught! I wouldn't trade where I am for anything! But I do want to take a day break just to see Paula!! Special shout out to my #2!!! I love you soooooooo much Paula and am  so happy and congrats on finishing the mish!! Watch out boys there's a hot, 20 year old returned misisonary heading your way haha!!
Oh wait and to explain the name of the email is because we were trying to take a picture in the bus to show how packed it was and little kids started joining in the picture with their peace signs and everything yelling "foto por face" which is photo for facebook and I don't know why but I was laughing so hard!! Well I love everyone so much and hope you have an awesome week!! It will be awesome because all of you get to see Paula!!
Viva Mexico!!! And tomorrow is independence day here so things are going to get a little wild these next two days haha

I have no idea what to name this email 9/8/14

Hola everyone I hope you had an awesome week!! Sorry this email is probably going to be way lame because I have absolutely nothing to say. I miss Hermana Alba a lot but it{s fun to be with Hermana Beaumont and speak English and quote movies and sing songs!! Imagine this Im finally getting all of my nacho libre quotes out of my system haha! Shes never seen it before but by the time Im done with her she{ll know all of the movie lines! Seriously it makes me so happy to be able to quote a movie and sonebody finally understands what Im saying!
As for the work, things were pretty sad this week! All 5 of our investigators with baptismal dates dropped us, but we were able to put 5 more baptismal dates with people this week! We found some people who have a lot of potential. I just love the people when you{re teaching them a lesson and you just see them get so happy and see them really change when they start to read the book of mormon and pray and go to church. So we don{t have very many ivnestigators progressing right now but theres good stuff that{s going to happen this week! Were going to have a conference on Friday with I think one of the area presidents so hopefully ill be able to see some of my mission friends! Sorry all of my emails have been so lame but I love being a missionary even when its hard and Ive changed so much since being here! The gospel is true!! Everyone just keep being strong in the gospel and everything will work out, because that{s really what I{ve seen in my time out here! Have an awesome week and know thta I love you all and miss you like crazy!!
Sorry I don{t have many pictures today! This gem I{m sending is the donkey I found and took a picture of it to copy the face Carter made in the picture Jessica sent me! Viva Mexico!!

Americans???? 9/1/14

Soooooo this week has been the craziest week ever!! first off we had transfers today and I stayed here and I have an American companion!!! What the????? I don't know how that happened, but it will be good stuff! Hermana Alba went to Mexicali to die in the heat, and saying goodbye to her was the saddest thing ever and I'm going to miss her like crazy! She's been the funniest companion in the world!
So also we had a baptism on Tuesday! It was Yolanda and she's so excited and it's awesome! We really saw her change because she always said she was catholic and was never going to change but now she loves teh church! On Monday we had the funniest family home evening of my life and I started crying because I was laughing so hard and I don't know I was just laughing so much this week at everything that happened....until transfers and then I cried a lot haha! We had a little fiesta our last district meeting! I feel like I haven't really said anything excited, but it was really a fun week I just don't know how to explain it.
As for the work it was pretty slow after that. We didn't find any new investigators but we're making a lot of great progress with some less actives and her sister and another investigator so hopefully they keep progressing!
We had a ward mission activity and we watched a movie that we thought was made by the church, but like halfway through we were like there's no way. It was about two missionaries who take in a homeless men adn teach a gangster and then one missionary breaks the law of chastity and tries to committ suicide and it was just interesting! It was called God's army, but it wasn't the normal one. All of the investigators liked it even though all of the members were dying haha but it was good.
Sorry this was way boring I'll send more pictures to make up for it!! Love you all so much and hope you have the best week ever!

Hanging on the edge! 8/25/14

So guess what I almost died this week!!!! But don't worry because the Lord protects his missionaries haha and I'm still alive!! so we were driving home from church and all of the sudden we were exiting and didn't get off in time and we started driving up this wall thing. If we would have gone any further we would have tipped and who knows what would have happened but we honestly stolpped at just the right time! It just shows that God is protecting us because nothing bad happened, when it should have!
So other than that nothing too exciting this week!! Our favorite investigators dropped us-the young couple that was so excited :( We visited them Saturday and they were so excited and the wife said she was looking me up on facebook and wanted me to teach her english, and she wanted to get married in the temple, and next thing we know they sent us a text that said they weren't gonig to go to church anymore and that was final but thanks for our time. That was the hardest it's ever been for me to have somebody drop us. but oh well. We'll just have to find the people that are ready to accept the gospel!
Oh and awesome miracle this week! There's this less active, Angelica, that we haven't visited in a while because some poopy members told us that they were dangerous and we were scared. But we found her on the street the ohtehr day and started teaching her and her sister and she's so excited and made a pact with us that she's gonig to go to church with us at least everyday from now until the end of the year! And she went to both sessions of stake conference this week and she's seriously the cutest lady in the world, I love her so much!! She told us that she's been having some really really hard problems in her life and she was praying to know what direction she should go in her life and later that day we ran into her in the street. Which is crazy because we never walk in that direction and I don't know why we went that way this day! But seriously God answers prayers and loves us and things are pretty happy right now! Yolando is going to get baptized tomorrow!!!!! Next week is transfers so wish me luck! I'm guessing I'll stay here, but we'll see who my new companion is! Love you all so much, have an awesome week!!!
Oh and the picture is of the Hermanas in our zone!

Surprise baptism!! 8/18/14

So this week was pretty lame up until Saturday we had a surprise baptism!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This woman has been saying no that she didn't want to get baptized for a month and then randomly on Saturday she was like yep, I'm ready to do this! It was definitely the weirdest/most awkward baptism of my life because we were with another ward and literally NO ONE from our ward showed up because she doesn't want to go to our ward because it's too early in the morning! We were so disorganized and couldn't get the baptismal clothes in time so she got baptized with a skirt and shirt someone brought with them and it was just hectic because we found out at 1 o clock in the afternoon that she was going to get baptized at 7! But I'm seriously so happy for her that she finally made the decision to be baptized, and it's awesome to see her so happy about it!! It''s a weird situation, but it's awesome haha!
And guess what!! Yesterday we went to the temple!!!!! They had a conference for the young single adults and it was multiple stakes so I saw Hermana Eye!!!!!! It was awesome!! And I saw other people I hadn't seen in a while and it was awesome!! They've come so far on teh temple and they've started putting the windows in, and it has the angel Moroni and it was so awesome!!!!!!! It was way fun!! I don't have much time, or much to say but I love you all so much and things are going good out here!

HUMP DAY!!!!! 8/11/14

Hoooooooooooooola!!!!!!!!!! first off I've felt like the geico camel from the commercials all week. HUMP DAY!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll officially be going home in 9 months from today! I can't believe it's been so long and I feel like I don't have time to do everything I want to do and I can't be halfway done!! I'm not ready!! I had intercambios this week with my American buddy Hermana Lance and we were just saying hump day all day because we came here together and we had hump day during the intercambios!
Oh guess what I got a package from grandma and grandpa!! Thank you sooooooooo much!! My companion and I have been loving the snakcs and we're getting nice and fat and yes, I did get the money you sent so thank you so much!!
Ok the other best thing that happened! Carmen got baptized on Saturday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She is the cutest and didn't want to get baptyized at first and now she is just so happy and her whole family (who none of them are members) went to teh baptism and it was a party! but not going to lie it was totally the funniest baptism of my life!  I had to close my eyes and start praying in the middle of the ordinance so that I wouldn't burst out laughing. so Everardo is her brother and he just got baptized in June and he baptized her and he's this tall skinny dude and she's kind of bigger and they were kind of scared they were going to mess up. So when he said the baptism prayer he said it so quiestly that nobody could hear him so next thing we know he's dunking her....but at like 2 miles per hour. She was like almost drowning because he was going so slowly and then she came up and did like the titanic hand on the window as she came up gasping for air!! I almost lost it!!! So they had to do it again because she didn't go under all of the way so I just closed my eyes and tried not to burst out laughing! But it was totally awesome we're so happy for them!!
Then we have the best investigators in the world!! Seriously this week was so awesome we're just so happy!!!!! our cute family that we met last week came to teh baptism and came to church and they are just so excited about everything! I love them soooooooooooooooooooooooooo much!! Last night we came home and they had left a bag of food as a present for us with the vigilante of our privada just for fun and we were just so happy and dying and we love them so much!!! Their baby is only 8 months old and has the biggest eyes and ah I just love that family!
So my story of the week for the ghetto things that happen here is that a sewer broke by a member's house and there was like poo water on the streets and it smelled so bad so that was good stuff. But that's all I've got for you this week! I LOVE my mission and I'm having so much fun and I love our investigators and our sectors and I'm just so happy to be here right now! Know that I love you all and miss you and can't wait to talk to you again!
