Live every week like it's shark week 8/4/14

Hoooooooooola!!!
I have no idea if it's shark week or not but I randomly started having shark dreams so I think my subconcious knows that it's about that time of year haha! This week was pretty fun, not a whole lot going on! Yesterday we met THE BEST FAMILY IN THE WORLD!!! They've been waiting for us to come and we kept going to the wrong address, so we finally found them after 2 months and they are the cutest little family and have a newborn baby and I just love them, they have to get baptised!!!
This week we had to do a training meeting to the Yound women and a stake activity so that was pretty good. Ummm we saw some kids getting busted for alcohol and racing underage so that was also some good stuff haha!
Our investigator Arcadio we found out isn't having "relations"with this lady and can totally get baptized and we're hoping he gets baptized next week and that Carmen should get baptized this saturday!!!!
Yesterday we had our taxi packed to go to church!! Our convert, Everardo, drives a taxi and he gives us a ride to pick up our investigators and yesterday it was totally packed full with investigators, less actives, and members!!! It was so awesome!! We got out with like 15 people at church! Except it was way embarrassing because I got out of the van and my skirt wasn't very flexible and apparently I was doing crazy stuff and next thing you know my skirt ripped and I had a slit running all the way up my skirt haha!! I had to walk around chruch trying to hide it with my bag.
That's about all I've got for you this week. Mom your fun fact for the week of my "surroundings"is that there's some parts that don't have pavement so we walk around on a lot of dirt and the streets are way ugly because they're breaking apart. love you all so much and hope you have the best week EVER!!!!! Pray that everything goes well with the baptism of Carmen! The picture is of our taxi!

The most boring week of my life!! 7/28/14

Soooooooooooo I have absolutely NOTHING to say because we didn't do anything all week!!! My companion was sick, so honestly a good part of my time was spent in the house doing nothing or going to the doctor. But the best thing of my life is we went to the mission offices on Wednesday and I saw Hermana Muir and Hermana Eye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was a beautiful thing!!!! Hmmmm other than that we had some good times sitting on the bus for a million hours going to the mission office and I have funny pictures of my companion sleepping with her mouth open haha.
Oh happy 24th of July!!!! Woo hoo for the pioneers!! So we had a ward mission activity on Saturday night and it was seriously the most pathetic thing of my life. We brought an investigator and other than that it was the other elders in the ward, the mission leader and his wife, and one other guy from the ward. We started an hour late because we were waiting for everyone and they kicked us out early so they could lock up the church and we honestly did nothing. Yay! Sorry this is so incredibly boring but I honestly have no idea what to write about.
Oh our investigator that was supposed to get baptized on Saturday is kind of loca and thinks her only sin was that she had her kids outside of marriage and other than that she's as clean as mud haha. We're hoping that next Saturday Carmen will get baptized!! She is struggling making a decision becvause her husband doesn't like the church, but she knows it's true, and she wants to be baptized! We're just hoping Everardo (her brother who got baptized last month) will help her get excited! That's all I've got for you today! The picture is of me and my best friends out here!! Love you all long time! Have an awesome week!
Oh and I asked the mission office about my letters and they didn't have anything so if anyone has written me letters and I haven't told you that I got it, in the last 7 months then it's lost forever and it never made it to the mission office!! I'm sooooooooooooo deprerssed about that!!! So everyone write me again and put like jesus stickers on the envelope so that nobody steals it haha!

Players 7/21/14

Hoooooooooooooooooola!!!!!!!
OK so this week we discovered that all of our investigators are players!! Ok only two! He has his wife and then he has his ¨mistress¨ haha he knows he has to change or he´s sinning, but he likes having two women and isn´t willing to change. Doh! The work seemed to be pretty slow this week, because everyone that has baptism dates has weird problems that they aren´t willing to change and are scared to get baptized. But it´s all good this transfer will be awesome
Oh yeah so it was transfers and Hermana Alba and I are staying together here in El Dorado and so excited!! It was awesome yesterday we had 3 teenage girls come to church because they had gone to efy with their friend this week and loved it and are way excited and loved church and we have an appontment to see them again tomorrow, but things are looking good for them right now!
We taught a guy this week who was like ¨I like everything you´re teaching, but can we just eliminate the part about Joseph Smith and move on. I don´t like that part.¨ Sometimes people just stress me out haha.
So we had our conference with the new mission president this week so we finally met Presidente Garcia!!! He seems like an awesome guy, and was way funny, and we´re all excited to have him here! Guess what I got one letter...haha I talked to them about why I haven´t gotten anything else so hopefully I´ll start getting them soon. Well sorry I´m waaaaaay boring this week. Guess what Elder Jacome, my favorite Elder in the world (we served together in the same ward in Ensenada for 3 transfers) goes home today so this picture is of us before he left!
Well hopefully next week will be more exciting! I´m loving life and missing all of you! Happy Birthday Madilyn I hope it was an awesome one!! And happy anniversary to Jess and Tom Tom!! Love you all and miss you! Have an awesome week!

Cute Little Ninos

Break-ups and bugs of death, buy hey, still happy! 7/14/14

Hello everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't believe another week has gone by and I'm writing you again!! First of all Happy anniversary mom and dad love you like crazy!! And happy birthday this week Madilyn!!!!!! You're getting to be pretty old fart haha!
Ok first of all to start off I'm pretty wimpy when it comes to the bugs here...and my companion is definitely worse! There was a centipede type-thing in our house last week, but with HUGE legs and we were freaking out!! We had the camera going when we were trying to kill it and it seriously sounds like a horror movie we just laugh so hard everytime we watch it!! So I haven't gotten any better at facing the bugs here. We had somebody fumigate our house to kill all the cockraocehs we we're feeling better.
So we had an investigator break up with us over text message this week...over text message!! I felt like my boyfriend had just dumped me! It was Matilde and she was seriously one of our favorite people and she was getting ready to be baptized and who knows what happened really. Oh well, we're going to find the people who are prepared. and we did find an investigator who already has more than 5 times in the church in another city and is pretty much way more than ready to get baptized so hopefully that happens this saturday! Also one of our investigators who was way into his pentacostal church is coming to church and reading the book of mormon for half an hour everyday and knows that it's true and says that it helps him understand the bible better! Love the little victories out here.
So the Elders had a baptism this week and we had to sing again!!!! They didn't learn! This time we all sang together and it was a little better but I saw a little boy plugging his ears in agony haha. But at the end a little two year old girl was cheering "bravo, bravo Hermanas!" Haha at least we have one fan.
Well it's raining really hard in Tijuana right now and we're stoked because it's better than dying of heat. Nothing else i can think of but just want to say that I'm way happy to be where I am even though I miss you like crazy and love you!! have an awesome week!! And madilyn let me know how your birthday is!

´MURICA 7/7/14

Hola to everyone in good old ´murica!!! How was everyone´s 4th of july???? I was missing fireworks and parties and everything!! But it´s ok I dressed like the American flag with my red, white, and blue. And I even had an american companion that day (Hermana Lance, we´re from the same generation in teh MTC) because we had intercambios! I found I´m proud to be an American on my ipod (I honestly don´t know how I ended up with that song on my ipod) so I made a music video that day!
But yeah pretty much I´m even more Mexican now because I´m learning to negotiate with the bus and taxi drivers here to give us rides for cheaper. Usually my companion always did it, but when we had intercambios the people totally gave us discounts when i did it on my own.
There was some people this week that were a little sassier than usual, but we did find some great new investigators. We found this old lady named Rosina. She´s the cutest thing I´ve ever seen! She doesn´t understand a word I´m saying, but she´s so funny and I love her to death and she promised us she would go to church this next week. We also starting teaching this guy named Hector who doesn´t really believe in God. EVERYONE in Mexico believes in God it seems like, so it´s different trying to teach him. But we´re actually way excited about him becuase he legitimately has the desire to believe in God and wants to learn, and he went to church yesterday, so we´re going to beat him with the spirit from all sides haha! Well that was pretty much all of the stories I can think of, sorry if it wasn´t too exciting. I´m still loving Tijuana and loving being a missionary! People are honestly changing their lives and I´m happy to be able to be here and be a part of it, and see it happen! Viva Mexico!!!
Oh and this picture is of the sisters in our zone who we had the intercambios with. Love you all!!!
